Kreaturen laden uns ein, mit Mut und Neugier in geheimnisvolle und unbekannte Welten vurzudringen. Sie laden zum gemeinsamen Weben und Basteln, sowohl Kinder als auch Erwachsene!

What creature do you dream of?

Creatures invite us to enter into mysterious and unknown realms with courage and curiosity. Creatures swim, float, fly and burrow between the loved and the lonely. They inhabit the space between.

Our intention here is to invite you to disturb and reimagine the space between boundaries. We invite you into a tension jungle, to deliberately disrupt a social boundary and speak about grief. What has happened on this land in the last 85 years?

In this space of disruption, we invite you to weave with us: to dream a shared reality with courage and curiosity.

ABOUT OUR PROJECT

We invite you to navigate tension with us. Imagine the creatures (gstōltn), the beasts you suppress, and move your body through the physical weight of this tension.

Our exhibition is a tension jungle. Literally, it is jungle of retired tension belts that have traveled thousands of miles across the surface of this planet we call home. Figuratively, moving your body through the tension “vines” of this jungle creates a physical experience of navigating the things that we are taught to suppress.

MATERIALS & TECHNIQUE

Tension belts, fencing, mirrors, projectors, paper, flour, wood, wind, light. Weaving, joining.

Imagine the creatures (gstōltn), the beings that live inside you that you have been taught to suppress. We invite you to work with your hands and your body as you weave with us to bring a creature into being.

Our exhibition invites you to weave with tension. Literally, it is a dragon whose skin will be woven from tension belts that have traveled thousands of miles across the surface of this planet we call home. Figuratively, weaving with this tension creates a physical experience of making visible the things that we are taught to suppress.
